Oil paintings
PROFESSIONAL MATERIALS
Each artwork is created using professional‑quality traditional oil paints on archival substrates. Ellisa works with non‑toxic lavender spike oil and linseed oil thinners, with Liquin used selectively for glazing. These materials ensure longevity, stability, and a refined, classical finish.
HOW IT'S MADE
Most of the artworks are created using a classical technique where a refined underpainting sets the structure, then layers of luminous glaze build colour and atmosphere. This approach means that light can move through each transparent layer, giving the artwork a radiance and depth that can only be achieved through this slow, deliberate traditional method.
OIL PAINTING CARE
Handle with care to avoid marks, scratches, or pressure dents.
Avoid touching the painted surface, especially if the work is unglazed or has delicate texture.
Display indoors only, away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or heat damage.
Keep the painting in a stable, dry environment, avoid humidity, damp rooms, or areas near radiators.
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth; never use cleaning products or water.
When storing, keep the painting upright, wrapped in acid‑free materials, and away from sharp objects.
