Who buys original art?

Who buys original art?

You do! If you're curating beautiful items for your beautiful home, then original art might be something to consider.

Original art is not as expensive as you might think and there are literally millions of independent artists who sell their artwork via their website, or direct from social media.

Try these 3 easy steps to discover a wealth of creative solutions and be assured that no-one else will have the same painting on their walls as you.

1. search for artwork you love

Search hashtags on social media, try #oilpainting #artforsale #painting #art and browse until you find an artist or artwork you like.

2. check out the artist

Check out the artists work, most independent painters (not signed by a gallery) make their work available to buy via their website, or through various social media channel.

3. Cut out the middle man - win/win

When you buy direct from the artist, you're not only getting an original piece of work, you're supporting a small business and paying less (because profits are not shared with a gallery or platform). Art platforms take 30-50% of the profit, as do galleries. This means the artist is 'paid' less and will then, generally, put the prices up to cover this cost. Buy direct from the artist and you'll generally get a bargain when compared to the prices in galleries and on art platforms (Artfinder, Saatchi Art, etc.)

Here are some examples of artwork you can buy in a range of prices direct from EJHFineArt.com

Have fun searching and collecting original (one of a kind) artwork from independent artists!
