Don't be frightened to put your artwork out there.
Sharing your creativity can be scary because when you share a creative result, you're showing people what's in your heart and head, sometimes even in your soul.
You're showing what you love, or what drives you, or you're telling a story or sending a message or simply trying new things, some of which you'll be pleased with - and some that you'll throw in the bin.
I've found that generally people are supportive and encouraging, even if they don't particularly like my artwork, they seem to understand the importance of me doing it and realise what a risk it is to show something publicly, so their manners prevail and they're supportive and kind. Then there are the trolls who, well, we all know the problem with trolls.
So, don't be frightened to show your artwork, some people will love it, some will hate it, some won't care, some will laugh at it, some will be moved by it, some will even buy it, genuinely because they love it.
We all love different things, so create what you love and your tribe, your people, your supporters and niche, will find you.
This piece is called 'Pure Hearts' and one of my favourites. It's sweet and twee and cute and, in my opinion, speaks volumes about the purity of nature.
